Melbourne

We’ve arrived in Melbourne, which is the first official destination on our adventure. We’re staying in an apartment we found on Airbnb that is in the South Yarra district of Melbourne. It backs right up to Fawkner Park, which is named after Melbourne’s co-founder, John Pascoe Fawkner. It’s full of meandering paths that are canopied by soaring oak trees. It looks like a great place to go for a run and hopefully for Jack to meet some new friends.

The apartment is conveniently located right by a Melbourne City Tram stop, so we grabbed some tram cards on one of our first days here so we could easily explore the city and all of its different neighborhoods. We prefer to walk as much as possible, but it’s pretty nice to have the tram option at the end of a long day when you need it. We’re excited to make this our home for the next month or so and explore all that the city has to offer!
