We are headed to our first international soccer match! And yes, I will still call it soccer, not football. Apologies to all those international futbol enthusiasts, but it will always be soccer to me.
The Melbourne Derby is an intra-city local showdown between the Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory teams. I equated it to the US equivalent of Duke vs. UNC basketball. The only problem is that we have no clue who to cheer for. It may be determined by a majority rule of fans in the section we’re sitting in…we’ll see!
