Okay so technically it’s more like, “Queensland, here we are!” as we’ve been here a few days already, but I’m finally starting to catch up a bit on the blog! If you noticed a barrage of posts a few days ago, it’s because I begged for a “down day” with no trekking, sights or anywhere to be so we could just relax. And yes, I know that sounds crazy…we’re on this amazing trip and I’m saying I need a break. Not a break as much as a day with some time to just sit and not be on the go all day.
And if there’s any place where it’s great to relax and slow down a bit, I think it might be tropical North Queensland. Matt and Jack might be dragging me kicking and screaming from this place. It’s probably premature, but I’m just going to come out and say it…I love you Queensland. I really, really do. You just make my soul all warm, fuzzy and happy. I love it all…the beaches, the rainforests, the million shades of green and blue, the liberal use of avocado in breakfast dishes, the people, all of it…
