Our plan for Queensland was to land in Cairns and take the next 12 days to meander down the coast to Brisbane, stopping off a few places as we go.
Cairns to Brisbane is roughly 1,700 kilometers (around 1,000 miles for those of you, like me, who are metrically challenged).
Right now we’re on day 9 and we’ve made it a total of (drumroll please)………
348 kilometers or 216 miles
I think it’s safe to say we’re behind our original schedule. I also think it’s safe to say it has been TOTALLY worth it! This is like the Great Ocean Road times ten. Even slowing down the pace as much as we have, I still feel like I’m already mentally making a list for what we’re missing because I want to catch it the next time we’re back.
So this is just to let you know the plan for Queensland has gone out the window. We have no schedule and nowhere we have to be, so for now we’re just reveling in the awesomeness that is Queensland.
